A TWO-BEDROOM house in Enmore has sold at auction for $1.275 million — more than double its sale price six years ago.

The house at 101 Metropolitan Rd is on a corner block, just 101sq m in land size.

It previously traded in 2010 for $625,000, and underwent significant renovations before it returned to the market this month.

Selling agent Ercan Ersan of Ray White Erskineville saw 89 groups through the home during the campaign, and issued a huge 28 contracts prior to the auction.

A crowd of 24 people attended the auction, where two of the three registered bidders actively participated.

Bidding opened at $1.1 million and continued in increments of $100,000, $50,000, $10,000 and finally $5000, before selling $75,000 above the reserve price.

“It was a great crowd with a great result,” Mr Ersan said.
