A decision has been made by former Chelsea and Inter Milan head coach, Antonio Conte, to take up the position of Napoli’s new manager as the Serie A champions seek a replacement for Rudi Garcia.

Garcia’s team, Napoli, has had a lackluster start to the season.

Out of their first 10 matches in all competitions, they have won five, lost three, and drawn two.

Conte, on the other hand, has been without a job since being dismissed by Tottenham Hotspur in March.

Multiple reports in Italy suggest that Conte will meet with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis to discuss the possibility of returning to Serie A and replacing Garcia.

For the deal to go through, the Italian manager would demand a significant role in the club’s transfer strategy.

Garcia is currently facing pressure due to Napoli’s inconsistent performance this season.

He was appointed as Luciano Spalletti’s successor during the summer.
