Shacorya Holmes Obituary, Death – Elizabeth “Liz” Jane Holmes passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the age of sixty. It is with heavy hearts that her family members announce her passing, which occurred on Saturday. Dedicated and cherished sister of John (Sharon) Holmes. Aunt Jessica (Blake) Wallace is loved and respected by her nieces Amy (Cam) Huizinga and Matthew (Lindsay) Ferrera.
Dedicated and beloved great-aunt of Winter and Evie Wallace, as well as Giovanni Ferrera. She was preceded in death by her step-mothers Audrey and Rachel, as well as her biological parents William and Katherine Holmes. Liz worked as a social worker with CAMH in Toronto, where she had the opportunity to affect a great number of people’s lives.
She was a devoted follower of the Blue Jays, and her unflinching support of her all-time favorite club will be sorely missed by a lot of people, including the players on the team. The members of Liz’s family are going to miss her trips back home to Sarnia, their family vacations, and trips to see her in Toronto. There are so many lovely and entertaining moments that will be recalled and missed.
The cremation process has been completed. On the evening of Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., the Smith Funeral Home, located at 1576 London Line in Sarnia, will host a visitation for family and friends. On Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 11:00 in the morning, there will be a memorial service performed at Smith Funeral Home in honor of the deceased.
After the service, the ashes will be interred in Lakeview Cemetery.
