Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, a prominent financial institution and subsidiary of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC, has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) by partnering with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).

In a statement, the bank revealed that the strategic alliance aims to deliver training to 3000 SMEs across multiple states in Nigeria.

The initiative revolves around the Enterprise Academy training program, which has already empowered over 5000 SMEs since its establishment in 2021,’’ the statement partly read.

Stanbic IBTC Bank’s Chief Executive, Mr. Wole Adeniyi, highlighted the crucial role SMEs play in the country’s economy. He remarked, “SMEs are the foundation of our economy, and we recognize the essential role they play in stimulating economic expansion and generating employment opportunities. Through our collaboration with SMEDAN, we aim to equip SMEs with the knowledge and resources needed to thrive in today’s fierce business environment.”
