Among the standsouts is a stunning Queenslander in Ashgrove is going to auction at 4pm.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom landmark home at 65 Holmesbrook St is being offered for sale for the second time in its almost 100-year history.

High ceilings, French doors, plantation shutters and a freestanding bath are just some of its features.

Tim Douglas of Place West said the home on an 810sq m block had been a much-loved family home.

“It offers stylish, yet easy living on a large block of land in a fantastic, elevated location,” Mr Douglas said.

Perched on 1232sq m of sloping bushland in the foothills of Mt Cooth-that, this three-bedroom house at 8 Wirra St, Chapel Hill.

The home has been cleverly designed with soaring windows with southwest views as far as the mountains of the Scenic Rim.

Chairs Austin of Ray White Austin said the home is an original built for the current owner and her family back when Chapel Hill was just opening up.

“This is a property not to be missed and represents a fantastic opportunity to buy into a piece of Brisbane’s architectural and design history,” she said.

Is being taken to auction at 10am.

Take a step back into the 1940s with this original Brisbane cottage set to be auctioned at noon.

The decor at 32 Gifford St, Alderley, includes bright orange and blue walls, green carpet and floral print wallpaper. There’s also an original kitchen and bathroom.

But the three-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage might prove a renovator’s delight, sitting on a 620sq m block close to Banks St reserve, shops, the train station and several schools.

CoreLogic records show it is the first time the house has been on the market
