The Nigerian international footballer, Asisat Oshoala, who is the captain of the Super Falcons and a striker for Barcelona Ladies, has been recognized for her outstanding performance by being selected for the Spanish Primera Iberdola Team of the Season.
Oshoala, 25, had a remarkable 2019/2020 campaign, scoring 20 goals and providing one assist in just 19 appearances. Additionally, she also achieved success with her team by winning the Copa Catalunya and the Super Women’s Cup during the season.
The Spanish Primera Iberdola Team of the Season was largely comprised of players from Barcelona, with Sandra Panos, Mapi Leon, Marian Torrejon, and Patri Guijarro joining Oshoala in the lineup. Other players selected for the team include Jenni Hermoso, Alexia Putellas, Maria Mendez, Lucy Santos, and Graham Hansen.
