The partnership between the British Council and Microsoft aims to offer an e-learning program for young creatives. The program, part of the British Council Creative Economy Ms E-Learning Program, is open to individuals aged 18 to 35. While the program will be accessible online for the rest of sub-Saharan Africa, it will be conducted through in-person interactive workshops in Zimbabwe.
The initiative is designed to support young African entrepreneurs in the creative economy and provide them with opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and creative business management. The main focus of the program’s upcoming two-day workshops will be on creative entrepreneurship.
The E-Learning program emphasizes entrepreneurship and offers a range of free online courses to assist the continent’s future leaders in their professional pursuits. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate as proof of their accomplishment. This certificate will enable them to seek ongoing support such as coaching, incubation, mentoring, and acceleration.
Eligibility for the program is open to African youth between the ages of 18 and 35, who are encouraged to apply for the in-person workshops in Zimbabwe or the online component for the rest of sub-Saharan Africa. The program specifically targets young, aspiring African entrepreneurs in their early stages.
