Adedola Aderonke, popularly known as Ashabi Olorisha, a Yoruba Nollywood actress, recently opened up about how the father of her child captivated her and convinced her to engage in a sexual relationship with him.
During an interview with Biola Bayo on her Talk Show, Talk to B, Ashabi revealed that she and her baby’s father were initially just friends, despite being in separate relationships at the time.
According to Ashabi, her friend had a habit of visiting her frequently due to the strong bond they shared. However, she was baffled as to how they eventually ended up having sex.
She confessed that their intimacy resulted in her becoming pregnant, and to this day, she cannot explain how it happened.
“I was in a relationship, but my baby’s father charmed me into having sex with him (and that’s how I conceived my only child after years of waiting),” she said.
“My son’s father was just my friend; he didn’t make any advances towards me. We were simply friends, and I already had a boyfriend who was a Major in the Army. Additionally, there was another man my family wished for me to marry because he hailed from Ikorodu.”
“Our first time being intimate resulted in me getting pregnant. I still don’t know what exactly led to it, especially since my mother disapproved of him due to his tribe,” she added.
The Yoruba actress, who has since relocated to the US, became emotional as she spoke about the difficulties her son faced in the UK due to lack of proper documentation.
She disclosed that her son was living with her cousin, who had married a Muslim man. Unfortunately, her husband made life difficult for her son by attempting to force him into their religion.
“My son suffered because I was in the US and didn’t have the necessary papers. He was in the UK, residing with my cousin. My son is a Christian, but my cousin was about to marry a Muslim man who ordered my son to remove his cross and pray with them on the mat,” she explained.
Ashabi Olorisha made headlines in the past when she publicly criticized her junior colleague, Mide Martins, who is the daughter of her late friend Funmi Martins.
She had renovated Mide Martins’ late mother’s graveside and called her out for neglecting her mother until her 20th remembrance when she intended to refurbish the grave.
The former actress went on to mercilessly berate Afeez Owo’s wife for abandoning not only her mother’s graveside but also her half-brother, Damilare Peters, and her own father. Ashabi prayed that Mide Martins would face similar circumstances with her own daughters.
Last year, shortly after her birthday, Ashabi Olorisha expressed her delight in becoming an American citizen.
In a gratitude-filled post, she thanked God for the many ways He had blessed her life.
