### Plot
The character Neil, played by Charley Koontz, grapples with depression caused by constant mockery and the derogatory nickname “Fat Neil.” To uplift Neil’s spirits, Jeff feigns an interest in Dungeons & Dragons, organizing a game with the study group. However, they deliberately exclude Pierce to avoid potential hurtful comments.
Abed assumes the role of dungeon master, guiding the group through the game with the goal of defeating the formidable dragon, Draconis. While most of the group opts for pre-made characters, Neil chooses his creation, Duquesne, who impressively vanquishes goblins with his sword despite his lack of experience.
Pierce joins the game uninvited, upsetting that he was left out. Abed reluctantly accommodates him with a new character, “Pierce Hawthorne,” whom the group, apart from Neil, ignores in the game.
