Carson City Sheriff's Office says three suspects were arrested in connection to a major burglary at the Michael Hohl GMC Dealership on Saturday.
Stockton, California residents Daniel McRunnel, Oscar Lopez and Michelle Navas were arrested and confessed to their involvement with the burglary.
Officials say dealership staff arrived on Saturday morning to find a Jeep SUV had been stolen along with 22 key sets and remotes for other cars. The service building was also broken into and computer diagnostic equipment was missing.
Suspects had also reportedly attempted to steal a Toyota tuck, but crashed the truck during the attempt and abandoned the vehicle, according to officials.
The Sheriff's Office estimates approximately $100,000 in damages and loss occurred, including missing computer equipment, key sets damaged vehicles and the stolen vehicle. All stolen property was recovered.
Around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, a patrol deputy reportedly saw a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a casino south of the dealership. Deputies spoke to McRunnel and reportedly found multiple sets of stolen keys and diagnostics equipment. Deputies arrested McRunnel for possession of stolen property and McRunnel confessed to his involvement, reportedly giving detectives information that generated leads.
By 9:30 a.m. Sunday, deputies were able to locate the outstanding stolen vehicle and Lopez and Navas, who also confessed to their involvement in the incident.
Officials are still investigating the details of the incident.
