In Tokyo Revengers season 3 episode 8, titled "I Know in My Head," a revelation unfolded that Akane was Seishu's older sister, and Kokonoi harbored romantic feelings for her. Tragically, Akane suffered severe burns in a house fire, necessitating an expensive surgery costing 40 million yen.

Facing financial constraints, the Inui family couldn't afford the surgery, prompting Kokonoi to take it upon himself to gather the required funds by any means necessary. Regrettably, Akane passed away before Kokonoi could achieve his fundraising goal.
Later in the episode, Kokonoi confessed to Inui that his desire for wealth had become unstoppable, and he had pledged allegiance to Tenjiku. In a separate storyline, the Haitani brothers assaulted Angry and Hakkai, but the latter refused to back down.
