The younger sister was taken to Maimonides Hospital.
Initially, the police believed her father was stabbed to death during an early morning home invasion at their home in Bensonhurst, New York.
Sources had previously informed The Post that Nikki was suspected of fabricating the story about the break-in to conceal her own brutal actions.
Nevertheless, Nikki’s account quickly unraveled, and she was additionally charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection to the attack.
While being led out of Brooklyn’s 62nd Precinct on Thursday night, Nikki smirked but did not respond to reporters’ questions.
A neighbor stated that she heard Nikki making a phone call in the hallway after the incident, where she claimed that they had been robbed by home invaders who also assaulted them.
Initially, the police had stated that two robbers broke into the family’s home and demanded money from a safe before killing the father and injuring both daughters.
Nikki sustained slash wounds to her hands and was admitted to the hospital in stable condition, according to the police.
She is transgender and was supported by her father, as mentioned by her father’s employer Yadira Gomez, who co-owns Mike’s Diner where Secondino worked as a deliveryman.
