BIOGRAPHY
Coming from a family of farmers, Tricia Helfer began a career as a model for Ford, one of the world’s best agencies, in 1992. Modeling for the biggest luxury brands, the beautiful Canadian appeared on the covers of Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, and many others. At the same time, she took acting lessons and was spotted by Los Angeles studios. Her plasticity first allowed her to appear in Les Experts and Jeremiah , in which she played a model.
Ronald D. Moore gave her the role of the attractive Number 6 in 2003, in the reboot of the science fiction series Battlestar Galactica . A performance which finally confirms her talent as an actress and opens many doors for her. After a few appearances on the small screen ( Supernatural , Chuck ), she became one of the recurring characters in season 2 of the spy fiction Burn Notice , then the guest star in Warehouse 13 and My Uncle Charlie .
In 2009, Tricia Helfer distinguished herself in theaters with the dramatic comedy A Beginner’s Guide to Endings , and two years later with The Forger , in the company of Josh Hutcherson and Hayden Panettiere . At the same time, the actress returns to lead the ABC program Killer Women , where she plays a female Texas Ranger in an all-male world. But due to lack of audience, the series is canceled and Tricia Helfer switches again to science fiction to find herself in the guise of Viondra Denniger from Ascension . As the wife of the ship’s captain, she proves to be a great manipulator, involved in dark affairs behind her husband’s back. Reviews were very mixed and Syfy did not renew the series for a second season.
Following this, the actress appeared anecdotally in the series Key and Peele and Falling Skies before committing to four episodes of Con Man alongside Alan Tudyk . In 2015, the couple she formed with Luke Mably in Isolation found themselves chased by pirates in the Caribbean islands. This film will be the opportunity for Helfer to opposite Dominic Purcell ( Prison Break ) and Marie Avgeropoulos ( The 100 ). She later joins the lawyers of Suits where she represents the opposing party in a legal case taken on by the protagonists. The Playstation Network then recruited her in their new original series, Powers , where she took on the role of an FBI agent and immediately joined the cast of the second season of Lucifer , thus becoming the mother of the devil personified Tom Ellis .
