BIOGRAPHY
Since she was little, Verónica Toussaint was attracted to the arts and acting, even though her parents wanted her to pursue a more traditional career. She studied a bachelor’s degree in communication at the Anáhuac University, but her true passion was the arts. During her career as an actress, she has played characters of various ranges, from a young mother, to an exotic dancer, a nurse and a young woman with a taste for punk music. She debuted in the telenovela Cara o Curz (2001), and later participated in Amarte es mi sin (2004), M13dos (2007), The Double Life (2008), Hermanos y Detectives (2009) and Capadocia (2010). In cinema, Verónica has participated in films such as Conejo en la luna (2004), Amor xtremo (2006) and Oso polar (2017), the first film in Mexico to be recorded entirely with a cell phone. The film won the award for Best Film at the Morelia International Film Festival, while Verónica won the Ariel in the category of Best Supporting Actress for her participation in said film as Flor, a superficial and slightly evil woman. . In addition to being an actress and television host, Verónica leads a life dedicated to yoga, opening her YouTube channel, Ser Yoga , specialized in this practice, in 2014. In 2019 she participated in the second season of LOL: Last One Laughing , a program original from Amazon Prime Video, hosted by comedian Eugenio Derbez. A year later, Verónica returned to participate in a comedy production with La culpa es de la Malinche , a program in which 5 Mexican comedians address relevant topics for the country from comedy, satire and sarcasm.
