Fire ravages a section of Ooni of Ife’s palace
A similar incident occurred at the palace of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, in April.
A residential building within the palace of the Ife monarch was engulfed in flames.
According to reports online, the courtyard of the palace was consumed by fire at approximately 11:30 pm on Friday, April 28, shortly after the electrical appliances in the affected building exploded.
The Palace Spokesperson, Moses Olafare, in a public statement, explained that the fire was caused by a power surge and has been brought under control.
Olafare affirmed that there were no casualties and no cultural artifacts were lost during the incident, further emphasizing that the fire did not spread beyond the Courtyard situated in a specific area of the palace grounds.
While many expressed concern for his wives and palace members, one social media user attempted to place blame on Tinubu.
