What Happened To Boney M?
Boney M. is a dance-pop singing collective originally formed by German songwriter/record producer Frank Farian. The band's line-up has changed frequently over the years. However, given that its stylistic range aligns with Farian's vision, it has managed to maintain some consistency. After years of topping the charts at the height of the disco era, Bonnie M broke millions of fans around the world when they went their separate ways in the early 1980s, according to Startsat60. But while the band's legacy continues thanks to a varied line-up over the years, original members Maisie Williams, Marcia Barrett, Liz Mitchell, and Bobby Farrell (who sadly passed away in 2010) remain their true selves. They've been pretty tight-lipped about why they split. Williams, now 71, revealed all in an exclusive chat with Starz his At-64. After Farrell's untimely departure in 1981, he admitted he never fully recovered, as arguments and tensions ultimately broke the close bond. Asked if the group broke up because of an altercation between musicians, Maisie replied, "Yes most of that is quite true; there were a lot of disputes going on and different opinions. Everyone kind of had their own issue, whatever it was. We grew apart, unfortunately. Bobby had left the group due to issues with loyalty to the record company and/or producer, and there was a major fallout there. When Bobby left, the group collapsed somewhat. Not a little; the group did collapse. But he did what he had to do."

Boney M is becoming an Internet sensation as nearly 9 million fans created TikTok dance videos to their song, which received 22 billion views last year. The idea is simple. It was to imitate and adapt the dance of Bobby Farrell, Liz's bandmate at the time. Funny enough, Liz didn't know how to access her TikTok. Liz, who turns 70 next week, is smiling as she reflects on her newfound success in showbiz after 50 years. We're thrilled that our hits are gaining new fans. According to Mirror, the band's YouTube channel has more than doubled to 56.1 million, and Spotify has 12.2 million unique listeners, three times more than Take That. Liz talks about the '70s and her revival of '80s hits, including Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill," which in the UK is No.1. The crew is also performing live concerts in 2023 with their original songs.

Boney M Age
The German vocal group was formed in 1976, and now it is 42 years old, according to Last FM. The founder of Boney M is Frank Farian was born on 18 July 1941 in Kirn, Germany. Farian founded his two best-selling pop groups in the world, Boney M and Milli Vanilli. His first group was named after The Shadows, but he turned to soul music in the mid-'60s, leading a band dedicated to playing covers of US hits. He also produced Ann Peebles' "I Can't Stand The Rain" and other hits in the late 70's disco for his group Eruption. His next best-selling act ameliorated Farian's lack of US success with Bonnie M. From his studio near Munich, he produced tracks under the name Milli Vanilli in 1987, recruiting Rob Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan to lead the group at live gigs. The group hit its first number-one in the US with three singles in 1989 and two best-selling albums. However, Milli Vanilli's career ended abruptly when Farian admitted that Pilatus and Morvan had not sung on the band's records. Johnny Davis and Charles Shaw sang in the original studio session.

Boney M Wiki
The German group was formed in 1976 by producer Frank Farian and consisted of four West Indian artists, singers Marcia Barrett and Liz Mitchell, model Maisie Williams and DJ, who have performed in London, Germany, and the Netherlands. It consisted of Bobby Farrell. Bonnie M is known for mixing white and black music, according to reports from Last FM. The producer Farian is white, and the singer is black. Surprisingly, many songs are black (freedom) songs, such as "No More Chain Gang" from the album Oceans Of Fantasy. Farian first released the single "Baby Do You Wanna Bump?". In 1975 he went by the name Boney M. He performed the song's sparse vocals himself, which was a hit, and at this point, Farian hired a team of dancers and singers to "front" the group.
