A winter parking ban went into effect on Wednesday and will go through April 30, 2024. The ban prohibits parking on Town roads and right-of-ways.
The purpose of the winter parking ban is to allow for unobstructed winter snow removal and ice control operations. The parking ban enhances the safety and effectiveness of the Public Works Department efforts.
The Truckee Police is reminding that it is not enough to park behind the snow poles. Drivers must park out of the public right-of-way.
