WASHINGTON (AP) — John Poulakidas scored 23 points and made five 3-pointers as Yale beat Howard 86-78 in overtime on Wednesday night.
Poulakidas also contributed five rebounds for the Bulldogs (9-6). Matt Knowling scored 14 points and added eight rebounds and five assists. Bez Mbeng had 14 points and shot 3 for 16 (2 for 10 from 3-point range) and 6 of 8 from the free throw line.
Marcus Dockery led the way for the Bison (5-10) with 21 points. Bryce Harris added 18 points, five assists and two steals for Howard. Seth Towns also had 17 points, six rebounds and two steals.
