She is of Puerto Rican descent and was born on December 27, 1990 in Queens, New York. This makes his citizenship American. Zelina Vega grew up in a family that loved sports; she played baseball, swam, and often watched wrestling with her father, Michael, and brother, Timothy. Her parents later divorced when she and her brother were tender but still kept in touch.
By 17, Zelina Vega had decided to pursue a career in wrestling and it saw her start training under Javi-Air, Azrieal and TJ Perkins. She was quick to learn and soon enough she was ready to make her professional wrestling debut. Vega debuted on February 20, 2010 under the ring name “Divina Fly” at National Wrestling Superstars (NWS) Bloomfield, New Jersey. She, however, started off with a losing streak but quickly returned to great fighting form.
Zelina Vega was discovered by Tommy Dreamer who took her to Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling, Impact in 2011 where she signed the promotion with the ring name ‘Rosita’. She also formed a tag team with Sarita whom she fought with and defeated Love and Winter to win the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship on March 13, 2011, marking her first title victory.
Between late 2011 and 2016, Zelina wrestled in promotions and championships like Family Wrestling Entertainment, FWE Women’s Championship, Global Force Wrestling (GFW) and Shine Wrestling, all in preparation to debut in WWE which is the home ground of top wrestling for all future wrestlers around the world.
In the month of June 2017, Zelina Vega had fulfilled that dream when she signed a contract with WWE which saw her begin her training at the WWE Performance Center and form alliances along the way. She established herself as manager for Andrade Cien Almas which turned out to be successful as the two recorded a few wins. However, in April 2018, the two had to go their separate ways after recording a number of losses.
Zelina also tested her acting skills; she starred in the 2012 film Dorothy and the Witches of Oz, the critically acclaimed documentary 9/11 Kids and is set to portray the character of AJ Lee in the upcoming fight film Fighting With My Family.
