BIOGRAPHY
Of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, Aimee García made her professional stage debut at the age of seven in Paul Mejia’s “Cinderella” at the Teatro Auditorium. By the age of twelve, she was already dancing in 20 shows a month as “Clara” in “The Nutcracker.” Aimee graduated from Northwestern University with a triple major in economics, journalism, and French. She then began a television career with Greetings from Tucson (2002), and had continued success as Andy Garcia’s daughter and George Lopez’s niece, Veronica Palmero, in George Lopez (2002). This role made her the only Latina in her generation to be on syndicated television and, in 2007, a nominee for an ALMA e Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series. Since 2011, García spent three years on the series Dexter as Jamie Batista, for which she was nominated for a SAG Award for Best Ensemble in a Drama Television Series. She played Dr. Jae Kim in the reboot film RoboCop (2014). In 2016, García was added to the main cast of the television series Lucifer , playing forensic scientist Ella López.
