Though the Hill Fire remains 100% contained, U.S. Forest Service officials say hotspots are still showing up within the fire area.

Crews will continue mop-up operations on the now 52.5-acre fire with fire investigators continuing to follow leads and indicators to determine a cause.

No injuries have been reported.

Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue says the 47-acre Hill Fire started just before 10:45 p.m. Tuesday south of Dog Valley Road on the California side.

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office says the Best Western Plus Boomtown Casino Hotel in Verdi has been designated as a staging area for evacuees. The Red Cross is assisting.
