Carolyn Hastings Obituary, Death – Carolyn M. (MacKay) Hastings, age 51, from Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, went suddenly in an unexpected manner on Sunday, November 12, 2023. She was a loving mother to Isabella E. Hastings and a devoted wife to Isabella E.’s father, Kenneth R. Hastings.
She was born in Boston on November 15, 1971, and her parents, Willis and Anne Marie (Galeota), both passed away before she was born. She was their daughter. She received her diploma from Tewksbury School System after completing her studies at Shawsheen Technical High School. After that, she enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University and eventually earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from there.
Carolyn oversaw the dental practices in Dracut that belonged to dentists Steve Demetriou, DMD, and Michael Szarek, DMD, for a good number of years.
Although taking care of her family, going to the beach, and traveling to amusement parks were some of her favorite things to do, her primary interest was in being Bella’s mother. She was Bella’s best friend and a fervent supporter at all of her athletic endeavors, and she never missed one of her events to cheer her on.
Her mother-in-law, Helen Cooper, two brothers-in-law, Richard and David Hastings, Michelle Harland and her children, Matthew and Zachary, Cheri Moores and her daughter Samantha, Shara Herbert, and Joseph Hourihan, as well as her great aunt, Adele Tarallo, uncle, Robert F. Galeota, aunt, Marion Mooney, and her cherished French bulldogs, Kira and Nika, as well as numerous cousins and close friends, survive her in addition to Ken and Bella. Her husband’s sister, Janice Hourihan Balch, and her husband’s father, Richard C.F. Hastings, passed away before she did.
