Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is making headlines after a waiter accidentally posted his credit card number on TikTok. Fans are curious to see the footage.

On June 23, 1948, Clarence Thomas, an American lawyer and Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court, was born. He was chosen by President George H. W. Bush to succeed Thurgood Marshall in 1991 and has been in that position ever since.

Thomas is the second African American to hold a judicial position after Marshall. He has served on the Court for approximately 30 years, making him, as of 2018, the member with the longest service.

He said on Friday that significant high court decisions that established homosexual rights and the right to contraception should be reviewed now that the statutory right to abortion had been repealed.

The video has been taken down from TikTok after the news became viral. The video is still accessible online, though.

Roe v Wade Clarence Thomas Opinion

Along with other conservative justices, Clarence Thomas argued in a concurring opinion that older abortion-related cases should be reviewed and voted to overturn Roe. He explained why that choice should be abandoned.

According to Thomas, the right to an abortion under that clause “is not fundamental in the idea of ordered liberty nor is it ‘deeply rooted in our Nation’s history and tradition.

According to him, the three cases that the court should now, in his opinion, review “are not at issue” in Friday’s ruling overturning Roe.
