During his first-ever interview, Wendy Williams’ son, Kevin Hunter Jr, expressed concerns about his mother’s health. In a recent conversation with The U.S. Sun, Kevin Jr. revealed his fear that his mother is near death and accused her team of taking advantage of her wealth, fame, and inability to make sound decisions due to her battle with severe alcoholism. He highlighted that Wendy’s mental and physical health has been at risk since being placed under guardianship last year. According to him, he witnessed the compounding effect of Williams’ multiple ailments during her doctor’s appointments, stating that he knows there are things happening that she would never agree to in her right mind. He also revealed that his mother was hospitalized in New York last month, a fact which was exclusive reported by The U.S. Sun.
Additionally, Kevin shared that Wendy’s jeweler turned manager, Will Selby, got in touch with him in mid-May to inform him about her hospitalization. He expressed concern about the lack of updates from Wendy’s team and her guardianship regarding her health status and location. Wendy’s representative, Shawn Zanotti, issued a statement denying reports of her hospitalization in New York, but Kevin remains worried about the individuals around his mother who, in his view, prioritize her income over her health. He emphasized that her health had declined while she was under his care, and he expressed his concerns about her drinking and the influence of those around her.
Kevin also raised issues about the contracts his mother supposedly signed during or after her rehab, indicating that she may have agreed to terms that were not in her best interest. He expressed apprehension about people taking advantage of her vulnerability especially during moments when she seeks help, and suggested that her team may be enabling her drinking.
