Aside from being a DJ in his early stages of life, Art Laboe was also a songwriter, record producer, and radio station owner.
Art Laboe started his radio career during World War II at KSAN, while stationed at Treasure Island outside San Francisco.

Art Laboe died of pneumonia at the age of 97. He died at his Psalm Springs home on October 7th, 2022.
