About Dead Island 2

Released in 2023, Dead Island 2 is an action role-playing game developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver. It is set in a quarantined Los Angeles due to a zombie outbreak, serving as a sequel to Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide. The game was released on various platforms on April 21, 2023.

Development of Dead Island 2 faced challenges and transitions over the years, with different studios involved. Yager Development, Sumo Digital, and eventually Dambuster Studios took over the development. It was a much-anticipated game after its initial announcement in 2014.

Finding Mailman Keys in Dead Island 2

Initiate the “My Mailman was a Zombie” mission by locating the mail truck on the map. On the truck’s left side, find a note that triggers the objective to follow the mailman’s paper trail for a new weapon. The note includes three addresses in the Bel Air area.

Visit the package locations marked on the map to find packages mentioned in the note. Comments from your character indicate mission progress as you find each package. Upon reaching the third package, defeat Wayne the Mailman to obtain the key for a chest near the van, containing the rare weapon named Raven.

Obtaining the Dead Island 2 Mailman Key

Prior to facing Wayne the Mailman, clear the area of smaller enemies. Corrosive weapons are ineffective against him. Defeat Wayne to get the Mailman’s Keys. Use these keys to unlock the package on Alpine Drive and claim the Rare Raven assault rifle.

Completing this quest will lead you to Venice Beach for fast travel. You can also explore other assignments in Bel Air to find additional rare weapons before progressing further.

Steps to Acquire Mailman Keys in Dead Island 2

  • Head to the mansion at the northernmost point of Alpine Drive.
  • Encounter “Wayne the Mailman” near the front entrance, along with other zombies.
  • Defeat Wayne the Mailman to obtain the Mailman’s keys.
  • Unlock the Special Delivery crate with the acquired keys to find the “Sharpshooter” firearm inside.
