Jada Pinkett Smith claims

During the promotion of her memoir Worthy, Jada Pinkett Smith revealed another surprising detail about her ‘soulmate’ Tupac.

Speaking to People about Tupac Shakur, she disclosed that the late rapper suffered from alopecia.

According to her, Tupac never discussed the alopecia he endured, a condition she also shares.

She recounted, “‘After he was in Northern California with the police officers that beat him up, he started losing his hair. And his alopecia patterns were far more extreme than mine,’ The Red Table Talk host, 52, recalled.

Shakur later sued the Oakland Police Department and settled the case.

Jada, who herself experiences similar hair loss issues, mentioned that Tupac kept his condition hidden due to societal pressures.

‘I don’t think Pac ever talked about his alopecia, but he also looked really good with a bald head. But that was during a time and during an era that you wouldn’t — he just wouldn’t talk about it.’

The meeting of the Girls Trip star and the rapper, who was tragically murdered in 1996, took place during their teenage years at the Baltimore School for the Arts.

‘I’m sure if [Shakur] were alive today, he would’ speak out about his condition publicly, she added.

In 2018, Jada went public with her own battle with alopecia.

‘I’m glad that I’ve had the opportunity and we’ll continue to have the opportunity to talk about how alopecia affects me,’ she said.

‘And I’m just hoping that it’ll give people the freedom to talk about how and just not have shame around it and not to have such a stigma. And there’s a lot of shame around alopecia.’

During an interview with Rolling Out, The Nutty Professor star shared insights about her friendship with Tupac and described him as her ‘soulmate.’

‘If there is such a thing as past lives, I definitely think that Pac and I have traveled a few together,’ she said.

However, she clarified that they weren’t romantically involved because they had ‘no chemistry.’

‘It’s that friendship love chemistry,’ she said. ‘It was almost like God made us that way. It was like, look, I’m going to put y’all together, right? Y’all are going to be a dynamic duo.

‘But I’m going to tell you right now, I’m going to make it so y’all are not going to be able to get together ’cause that just wasn’t the purpose.’
