American journalist was born the third child of her parents, Samuel Knox Skinner and Susan Ann Thomas on February 12, 1967 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Her father, Samuel, was the former chief of staff to President George HW Bush, while her mother, Susan Ann Thomas, was a nonprofit worker in Lake County. Jane was raised in Lake Forest, Illinois with her two older brothers, Thomas Vernon Skinner and Steven Knox Skinner. Her eldest brother, Thomas Skinner, is the former head of the US Environmental Protection Agency’s national compliance program, director of EPA Region 5, and currently general counsel of Louisiana State University, while her immediate older brother, Steven, is the chief executive officer of KemperSports is.
