Reportedly, Marcus Rashford has agreed to a new five-year deal with Manchester United.
The England striker is set to commit long-term to his boyhood club after an impressive season at Old Trafford, scoring 30 goals in 56 matches across all competitions.
Rashford’s previous contract was due to expire in 2024, but as per the Athletic, his new agreement will keep him at the club until at least 2028.
Contract discussions between Man United and Rashford have been ongoing for some time, with the new terms positioning him among the club’s highest earners.
Under his previous deal, Rashford earned £250,000 per week, with his salary set to increase to nearly £375,000 a week under the new terms.
Represented by his agent Dwaine Maynard, Rashford’s negotiations with the club will see him become the fourth-highest-earning player in the Premier League.
Upon receiving his new contract, only Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City, and Mohamed Salah of Liverpool, will earn more than Rashford.
Haaland tops the Premier League wage list, raking in a staggering £865,000 per week, largely driven by a number of related bonuses in addition to his £375,000 base weekly wage.
De Bruyne is the next highest earner in Pep Guardiola’s side with a weekly salary of £400,000.
Salah, rewarded with a new and improved three-year contract by Liverpool in 2022, makes £400,000 a week.
