The Pokémon Go Lush Jungle event is ready to kick off the next section of the Season of Alola. This entire seasonal event will take place until June 1st and focuses heavily on Pokémon that originated from Pokémon Sun and Moon. Fan-favorites like Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio have all been added to the game with a handful of other Alolan Pokémon. With each new event, the roster continues to grow. For Lush Jungle, trainers will be able to find and capture a Fomantis and Lurantis for the very first time.

The Lush Jungle event in Pokémon Go will take place from Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time, giving trainers about a week to take advantage of all of its bonuses. Outside of Fomantis and Lurantis being added to the game, trainers will have the chance to find a Shiny Cottonee. It will appear in a bright yellow color as opposed to its original green shade. Although, finding Shiny Pokémon is incredibly rare, even to those who focus on hunting them. There will be a special Lush Jungle Park Spotlight event to make that easier.

The Lush Jungle Weekend Park Spotlight will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. During this period, Cottonee will spawn more while in parks. This is to push players back into the outside world, giving them a better shot to find its Shiny form. Not only that, but like with every other major Pokémon Go event, new spawns, raid battles, and Timed Research will occur.

The exact tasks themselves have yet to be revealed, but the event only starts in a few days. It’s recommended to capture as many Fomantis as possible. Using a Pinap Berry in Pokémon Go will double how much candy is rewarded at the end of an encounter. Obtaining a Lurantis will be much more difficult once the event is over and its spawn rate returns to normal.
