Hawaii Five-0 is an American motion police procedural television sequel based on the governor of Hawaii's request for special police significant crimes task force. It is a remake of the CBS sequence Hawaii Five-O, which ran from 1968 to 1980 and had the letter "O" instead of the number "0" in its title. K/O Paper Products and 101st Street Entertainment produced the series, which began with CBS Productions and ended with CBS Television Studios in season three. The show was praised for its contemporary reimagining of the old series. The show started on CBS on September 20, 2010, and for the first three seasons, it aired on Mondays. The show was moved to Fridays starting with season four. Hawaii Five-0 aired for seven more seasons before ending on April 3, 2020, with the 240th and final episode.

What Happened to Kono on Hawaii Five-o?

In the pilot episode, administrator Kono Kalakaua, an ex-skilled surfer, existed as a  recent Hawaii Police Department (HPD) academy graduate appointed by Steve for the new task force. Being  Chin Ho Kelly's cousin, she is a trained martial artist and a good markswoman. She operates under the vigilant eye of her cousin in the early episodes and quickly earns the confidence and trust of the other crew associates. She is accused of theft crime and is detained from the official works. She then helps the team in their finding against the person who is responsible for Governor's death. She later falls in love with Adam, and the get married. Kono Kalakaua departed Hawaii for Carson City at the end of season 7. She becomes an associate of a multi-agency task group tasked with controlling sex trafficking. After then, not much of her tale is portrayed. However, Adam returns to Hawaii midway through season nine and informs the squad that Kono has split up.

Kono is undertaking some clandestine ops away from the task force to take down a ruthless ring of sex traffickers, which is a far more appealing option than committing suicide or traveling across Europe to "discover herself." It all comes down to pay equity, according to the sources. Grace and Daniel were reportedly requesting equal pay with co-stars Alex O'Loughlin and Scott Caan at the end of 2017. The performers reportedly received 10-15% less each episode than their co-stars in the final offer from the network, thus they both opted to "deuces" the show.
