BIOGRAPHY
Asier Etxeandia is a Spanish actor and singer, whose career includes television, theater and film. He participated as a contestant in the program Uno para todos on the Telecinco network. It was in that contest where the production company Globomedia saw him and recruited him for the role for which he became known nationally in 2002: Beni in the series Un Paso Ahead . In 2003 he won the New Actor Award from the Actors’ Union for his Master of Ceremonies in Cabaret , where he remained until 2005, the year he played Dante in the production Infierno , by Tomaz Pandur. In 2014 he was part of the cast as Raúl de la Riva in the series Velvet , whose character became the main character from the second season until its end in 2016. He was nominated for the Goya in 2015 for Best Leading Actor for his performance in The Bride . Asier Etxeandia was one of the protagonists of Pedro Almodóvar’s most recent film Dolor y Gloria (2019), along with Antonio Banderas and Penélope Cruz.
