The upcoming kick-off of Taylor Swift’s concerts in Glendale, Arizona has prompted the city to announce a temporary name change in her honor.
According to Glendale’s Mayor, Jerry Weiers, the city’s new name will be revealed on Monday, March 13, coinciding with the launch of Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” at the State Farm Arena. This special name change will be in effect during her concert dates on March 17 and 18.
In addition, the mayor will share recommendations for fan-favorite venues to keep the celebration going after the concerts. A statement mentioned;
“There is no need to calm down, we’re fearless and doing something highly unusual to celebrate the fact that Taylor’s concerts start right here!”
