Major League Baseball pitcher Dellin Betances has played for the New York Yankees in his home state of New York since the start of his pro career with the 2011 MLB Draft.

In May 2017, Dillen Betances became the closest for the Yankees following the unavailability of Chapman and Miller, who were later traded. Despite being ejected on August 24, 2017 for hitting James McCann with a pitch, the Yankees ace still made it into the All-Star Game roster for his fourth straight season.
