Born the third of five children to Gayle and Bill Jackson on December 1, 1986 in Los Angeles. He also competed at the United States All-American Bowl and graced his crowd with an incredible 7-pass count, 145-yard rush and 45-yard touchdown.
With one of the best records in high school, Desean Jackson got various offers from different institutions to pursue further education. He eventually settled on the University of California Berkeley. Still, he held Pac-10 records for both seasons and was picked for the third time all-time in California with 2, 423 and 22 touchdowns. He finished sixth in receptions (162) and finished with 52 career plays of 20 yards or more, accounting for 23 percent of his 226 touches.
Desean decided to forego the remaining years of his college career and declared his intention to join the National Football League. The Philadelphia Eagles gave him the honor of joining the league when he was second-round pick 49th overall in the 2008 NFL draft. He played for the team for three years before moving to the Washington Redskins. He showed his sporting achievements in the team for two years and is currently proving himself with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
