BIOGRAPHY
Gastón Salgado is a Chilean actor, born on March 7, 1985, in Santiago, Chile. Interested in acting, he entered the University of Las Américas to study theater, but he had to leave school to work after his family went through a severe financial crisis. Despite the adversities, Gastón was able to study acting again, this time at the Theater School of the Arcos Professional Institute. When he finished his training, together with several classmates, he founded the La Oruga theater company, with which he began to work professionally. However, soon after he discovered all the things he didn’t enjoy about theater. With the intention of working in television, Gastón studied at the Roberto Matus Academy, where he met director Nicolas Acuña, who served as a godfather to enter the medium, as he directed him in the series where he became known, El substituente ( 2012- 2013), with which his career began its rise. Since then, Salgado has participated in series such as Juana Brava (2015), Héroes invisibles (2019) and La Jauría (2020), among others.
