AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has sealed a five-year deal with Paris St Germain.
The 22-year-old, who claimed the best player award at EURO 2020, joins PSG following the expiration of his contract with AC Milan, where he had been since 2013.
At the age of 16, Donnarumma made his debut for Milan in 2015 and went on to accumulate over 200 Serie A appearances.
Confirmation of his transfer to PSG comes after his pivotal role in Italy’s Euro 2020 triumph and his recognition as the player of the tournament.
Expressing his joy on PSG’s official website, Donnarumma stated: ‘I am very happy to be part of this great club that is Paris St Germain.
‘I feel ready to take on this new challenge, and continue to grow here. With Paris, I want to win as much as possible and give joy to the supporters.’
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said: ‘We are pleased to welcome Gianluigi Donnarumma to Paris St Germain.
‘We congratulate him on his victory at Euro 2020, and his title as the best player of the competition.
‘I know Gianluigi will receive a warm welcome from everyone at the club, including his teammates, our staff, and all the Parisian support.’
