World of Kings – How to delete a character

The King of Kings® is a game played by real people, and in order to keep our community happy and safe for everyone, we have a few rules. This article will cover some of the ways you can get banned from the game without actually breaking any rules.

If you are having issues with a certain character on your account (or if that person has been harassing you) there are two things you should do immediately:

1) Log out of KingofKings.com GAMESPACE completely. Find another browser or device to play on (if possible). Do not log back into the same account while trying to solve your issue. Giving yourself some space to clear your head will help move forward with better solutions later.

2) If you are trying to report a character for harassment/spamming, etc, then please go to help.kingofkings.com and submit a ticket with as much information as possible (chat logs or links to other posts that show what the offending player is doing).

This will help us better understand your issue and come to the best outcome for everyone involved. So here are some things you can do in King of Kings® that may get your account banned:

1.SPAMMING

That means using an excessive amount of symbols in one post, quoting someone else’s post just to throw on another symbol, uploading ASCII art with no substance – anything that adds nothing meaningful to the conversation can be considered spam.

Both these terms refer to characters that post intentionally provocative content with the goal of getting a rise out of people, particularly in chat or on the forums. In King of Kings®, taunting and baiting other players is not allowed (although joking around is encouraged). It can only take one person’s feelings being hurt for things to escalate into much more serious problems. All posts you make as a character are automatically attributed to that character unless otherwise tagged as [OFFICIAL]. Posts made through HTML-based color codes, emoticons, etc., should also be assumed to come from your character unless otherwise noted by using brackets or asterisks (* * *).

3. GOSSIPING

This is when you post information that you know someone will find hurtful or upsetting to spread around. Sometimes it’s done without any ill intentions but a character who does this has no place in King of Kings® anyway. Often, people gossipping do not realize they are doing it until others call them out on it. So if you suspect someone of gossiping, please don’t get upset with them – report them instead! Even if they do not intend to cause harm, their actions contribute to the effact environment that we have been trying so hard to eradicate on KoK since the beginning. Read more about “gossiping” here:

This is when a character does not respect other characters or players and makes them feel bad through their actions toward them. This may be in the form of purposely annoying someone or inciting conflict between users in any way — these are all problems that we have made it our mission to eradicate on KingofKings.com GAMESPACE for good! If you suspect someone of doing this kind of thing please report them at help.kingofkings.com so they can get the help they need! Or if you are dealing with someone like this yourself, please reach out to KoK Support via ticket

4. PROMOTING OTHER CHATS

In the past, we have allowed our players to run their own chats if they so wished. We do not allow any of them anymore because some people found reasons to exploit this and created a lot of drama. If you want your friends to come to join in on all the fun you’re having in King of Kings®, just ask them! You’ll be surprised how many will – but remember NO Soliciting. In addition, if we ever find out that you are running a rival-type chat or trying to get other users from KoK® to join another chat, then you too will be banned from King of Kings®.

5. POSTING INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT

This is pretty self-explanatory, but please be aware that this includes images. Videos are allowed but if they contain inappropriate material you should note in the post that it has been edited to comply with KoK®’s standards (e.g., by adding [Edited] at the beginning of your post). Also, for our younger players: Be sure to use a mature voice and mind when roleplaying or sharing content on any channel. We will always ask you to change your tone if we feel like it’s too young for the other people who may be reading. Especially with regards to new players, please do not embarrass them by making inappropriate comments about their age.

6.BREAKING THE RULES

By now, you may be wondering why there are certain things we do not allow on KingofKings® and the answer is simple: it’s because they cause trouble! Through our experience of running this community we have seen so many problems that come from just one tiny thing so when we see players doing these things or using these phrases/words, we feel like a parent telling their children not to play with fire. We know you wouldn’t actually do them (or maybe some of you would?) but if someone else starts then it can quickly get out of hand with all kinds of issues popping up everywhere.

Businesses & Chatrooms: This includes advertising them i.e. in your bio, signature, or anywhere else! When checking your signature, we actually look to see which chat you have in it. If you want to advertise, then you are setting yourself up for trouble and may be banned from KoK® if someone takes offense.

Petitions & Complaints: We do not take complaints or petitions on KingofKings® at all, so don’t even bother making them here! Instead, players should report any issues with other characters using the in-game reporting tool found under HELP -> REPORTING!

Opinions on Politics: This is a tricky one because there are always going to be people who disagree with each other when it comes to politics. The truth is that no matter what side of the political spectrum you’re on (blue vs red) you will always find someone out there who disagrees with you. The best thing to do is just agree to disagree and not prolong the argument. KingofKings® does not want any part of it.

Spamming: This applies mostly in the chat channels but for other places: It’s highly frowned upon here at KoK®! You might want to think about why you’re doing it before even thinking about continuing! If we see this happening, we will most likely warn/ban you from KoK®, depending on the severity…

Off-Topic Chatting – Use Your Common Sense! : We do allow some offtopic conversations in some places (e.g., Taverns & Guildhall), but please use your common sense. When you’re on KoK®’s official chat channels, we want to see King of Kings®’ related discussions! In short, this means no politics or religion (unless relevant to our game)… and PLEASE do not start an argument over something irrelevant that can be found elsewhere.

Other Players Polluting the Chat: If you have a pet or are in a channel with other people who also may post things that aren’t King of Kings® related, please use your judgment when posting. You will know what you should say and what is completely unnecessary! And please note: if a character is acting rudely, then just block them, ignore them / leave the channel temporarily and report it to us via help-desk.
