Laura Colon Shooting – We are getting additional information about the events that led up to the shooting that took place in a mobile home park in Lake County on Thursday. The incident resulted in the deaths of four individuals, including the suspect.

On Friday morning, the officials of Mentor conducted a news conference during which they identified people who had passed away and offered a timeline of the events that had transpired. According to the police, the incident began at approximately 4:30 p.m. when officers from the Mentor Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired at the Mentor Green Mobile Estates, which is located in the 7100 block of Mentor Avenue.

According to a press release issued by the authorities, “the first officer on scene found a 62-year-old female deceased in the roadway.” This individual was later determined to be Laura Colon, the property manager. A neighboring man who had been shot in the stomach was discovered by the second officer who arrived at the site. “The officer pulled him to safety, performed CPR, and then carried him approximately 60 yards to safety.

Where he was then transported to Cleveland Clinic Mentor Hospital,” it says. That victim, who was named as Terrance Mathis Sr. and was 63 years old, succumbed to his injuries and passed away. When further officers arrived, the body of a third victim, identified as 81-year-old Thomas Galizia, was discovered at the scene.
