Allegations of sexual harassment have arisen against veteran Hollywood actor Frank Langella during his time on the set of the Netflix limited series, The Fall of the House of Usher.
Multiple instances of inappropriate behavior have been attributed to Langella while on set in British Columbia, Canada, as per production sources who spoke to TMZ on Wednesday. Despite the accusations, there have been no reports of his dismissal or suspension.
According to the sources, one of the alleged incidents involved a sexually suggestive joke told by Langella and an occasion when he touched the leg of a female actress during a scripted performance, following which he made a comment, ‘Did you like that?’
Despite the ongoing probe, the production of the Netflix series remains unaffected as Langella was not scheduled to film any scenes this week, as disclosed by sources to the outlet.
Authorities have stated that no formal complaints have been filed against the 84-year-old actor. A representative from Netflix declined to comment, citing it as an ‘active employment matter.’
In the series, Langella portrays the character of Roderick Usher, a creation of Mike Flanagan. The cast also includes Mark Hamill, Carla Gugino, Willa Fitzgerald, JayR Tinaco, Mary McDonnell, Kate Siegel, Zach Gilford, Henry Thomas, Annabeth Gish, and Malcolm Goodwin, according to IMDb.
