American rapper, Lil Reese, has been taken into custody for assaulting his girlfriend, just two weeks following an incident where he was shot in the eye. The Chicago rapper was apprehended on May 29 around 10:30 PM, subsequent to law enforcement being summoned to his residence. According to TMZ, Reese was alleged to have pulled her hair and struck her in the face with a closed fist, resulting in visible abrasions to her lower lip. Following his arrest, Reese was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery and was released after posting a $10,000 bond. This comes in the wake of Reese’s recent involvement in a shooting incident in his hometown, where he was accused of being a part of an alleged carjacking, although he has purportedly refuted these claims to the authorities.
