Who Are Wilson Phillips?
American pop trio Wilson Phillips was founded at Los Angeles in 1989. The group consists of Chynna Phillips, who is John and Michelle Phillips's daughter, from the Mamas & the Papas, and Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson, the children of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. Their self-titled first album from 1990 included five significant US hit songs, four of which reached the Billboard Hot 100's Top 10 (three of them reaching number one), and sold over 10 million copies worldwide. The group was nominated for five Grammy Awards and two American Music Awards in 1990, and their single "Hold On" won the Billboard Music Award for Hot 100 Single of the Year.

What Happened To Wilson Phillips?
The three women are highly talented and have inherited the genes of writing soulful songs from their parents. All the albums they performed were super hit except for Shadows & Light in 1992. This song remains the last song of the original Wilson Phillips band. The band split soon after it. The three women reunited in 2004 to record the covers album California, but they were unable to maintain their unity. But in 2010, Wilson Phillips came back together once more and issued the holiday CD Christmas in Harmony. A second covers album, Dedicated, featuring songs by both the Beach Boys or the Mamas & the Papas, was released two years later.
