Willow Grove Shooting – After a woman was shot and killed by police on Sunday in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, an inquiry has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Witnesses said that the woman brandished a firearm in the direction of first responders and police officers. It was soon after 5 o’clock in the evening when it happened, and the location was the 100 block of Evans Avenue.

Upper Moreland Township law enforcement and emergency medical care personnel were dispatched after a report of a woman spotted carrying a gun outside of a residence sparked a response from the community. The woman, who has been identified as Mary Meister and is 69 years old, is said to have pointed a weapon in the direction of the emergency medical staff who were present, as stated by the investigators who were present.

Meister is accused of disobeying the demands of the police officers to lower the pistol and instead pointing it at the officers while he disobeyed those commands. The orders were given out by the police. At that point, one of the law enforcement officers who was present at the time and fired a shot at her. The police have not disclosed the officer’s identify despite the fact that he was involved in the incident.
